London based Therapist
When we are feeling a little stuck, in pain or in moments of crisis it can be difficult to know where to even start to make sense of what is going on for you. Knowing where to take those feelings and emotions can be a daunting task, I believe that therapy can be a good place to start.
As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I aim to offer a safe and supportive environment where I encourage each of my clients to express themselves freely without fear of judgment. I aim to help you gain a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We will also explore how unconscious patterns may be influencing your current experiences. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I will work alongside you to achieve your goals. The therapeutic relationship is important, and I strive to build a strong and trusting connection with each client.
I am qualified to work with clients who are struggling with various challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, family dynamics, work dynamics and identity concerns. I take a client-centred approach to the therapy I offer, and I will tailor each therapy session to your unique situation, ensuring that you receive the most effective support possible. By exploring the roots of your difficulties, through exploring past experiences, identifying recurring patterns, or examining the therapeutic relationship itself, the aim of therapy is to develop healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges. Through careful listening, and thoughtful exploration of your personal history, we can work together to bring unconscious patterns into conscious awareness. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy.
Ultimately, it is my view that psychodynamic therapy can foster personal growth and development and help you lead a more present and fulfilling life. It's normal to feel apprehensive about starting therapy, and I am here to support you through that process. Please feel free to reach out for an initial consultation or to ask any questions you may have.
About
me
I have trained for five years in a postgraduate clinical psychodynamic psychotherapy qualification, and this extensive training underpins my practice, which is both rigorous and thorough.
I am an accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist, I am registered with the BACP, and hold a post graduate diploma in psychodynamic psychotherapy .
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the creative industries, and I like to bring some of that creative thinking in to my therapeutic work. I have experience working within large scale corporate structures, and feel this experience helps inform my work, particularly in relation to clients dealing with issues at work.
As well as working in private practice I also work part time in NHS secondary care mental health services.
